Six days in, we're feeling pretty confident with our new little family. Yesterday, we walked downtown and visited quaint little shops along the way, had dinner, and then ended the night with some ice cream! Ty, of course, slept the whole time.
Today, we had lunch with Ty's birth dad and then headed out for some sites....breathtaking if I might add...
We are enjoying our little family so much! I am soaking in every second possible. Ty's fingers got chubbier, today...it's going so fast...I'm living every moment, kissing every wrinkle, and telling him of my love, with every breath.
Tomorrow, at 8:00am, he will officially be our son. I don't need the validation...but am looking forward to it all the same.
Please pray for Rebekah. I imagine tomorrow will be a difficult day.

Congrats! I've been following your story today and ran across a song that I reminded me of your story and Rebekah. It's called Everything To Me by Mark Schultz.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on everything being official!
So exciting...you both are truly beaming!
ReplyDeleteTo the other Rebekah if you read the comments...my thoughts are also with you...I am thinking of you and wishing you love and strength. I admire you so much for your choice and hope you know in your heart what joy you've brought to Rebekah and Ben. Best wishes to you.
What beautiful scenery. You guys are doing so great, already taking him out so much! I was absolutely terrified to leave the house the first month!!!
ReplyDeletei love that little ty's hair goes so well with your "moo-lala meets rock star" theme in his room, he already looks like a little rock star!
ReplyDeletei am so glad you guys are doing great and your little family is SO ADORABLE! I love looking at your first family "vacation" ;)
We will be praying for Rebekah, Ty's first mom, tomorrow-and afterwards too. She is an amazing woman and I know God wants her to know that He is proud of her!
Hey Rebekah, I just want to tell you how ADORABLE your new family is. What a blessing that BIG boy is. I could just eat those chubby cheeks. Wow, you have totally gotten me in the mood to adopt again. haha. We were already working on it but now I am thinking, I want my baby NOW!!! haha.
ReplyDeleteI want you to know how ECSTATIC I am for you and Ben. I know exactly how it feels to FINALLY wrap your arms around YOUR baby. Can you believe it? YOU HAVE A BABY BOY!!! I love saying that!! I also want to tell you what absolute class act and lovely couple I have found you to be. Embracing Tye's biological family the way you have and the friendship you have made with Rebekah... WOW!! I just LOVE your story. I can't wait to watch Tye grow. Enjoy every single second of it. You sooo deserve it!! Prayers and Blessings on both sides tonight. :)

I just started following your blog yesterday and I am in awe of what the Lord has done in your family and more importantly what he is doing through you.

Congratulations mommy! You and your husband, Ben look super excited and in love (not only with Ty) but with each other.

Praying for Rebekah & for your new family.
ReplyDeleteHer greatest tragedy is your greatest blessing.
May God be with you all.
Ty really is one of the cutest babies I have ever seen! Adorable!! :) I have been praying for all involved today.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to meet little Ty when you get home!
Your posts have been so amazing, my heart is overflowing with happiness for you. As I glanced at the beautiful pictures again of baby Ty I noticed your 'journey' on the side-bar of your blog. I noticed that last August 2008 you and Ben were "officially" waiting for baby...it's funny, because almost 40 weeks later little Ty was born. God has been preparing you for this for 9 months! :)
ReplyDeleteThough His journey is sometimes hard and not always clear, the rewards are OH SO SWEET! He is SO good!
Love,
Dori
