His hand reaches across the seat to rest on my knee: "Of all the scenarios and situations my life could have played out, I would pick you every time. If I had to choose you, money, being a rockstar, or having the perfect job...you would always be my first draft pick."

I look at him and think, life couldn't possibly get better.
