Free'n the Fro

Ty's hair has always been a source of compliment, product, and crazy.  I love it. I've been trimming it up for months, but being a girl of massive hair, myself, it was time to bring out the big sheers. He needed to be thinned in a bad way.

Maybe in the future I won't be quite so protective, but I just couldn't handle the thought of a barber butchering those locks. I know I'm crazy. I opted to take him to my stylist instead.

Here's our before picture:

Man I love this kid.
He sat on my lap and hardly made a peep. I'm not sure I've ever seen him quite so adorable!

I'm loving the cleaner, thinner look. He looks like such a little man!

  5. ADORABLE! How cute is he?

We have hair issues with my little guy too. He has very fine textured, extremely tight curled hair, so we keep his in a little Marine "High and Tight" style most of the time. We get comments on our little Marine! :)

  6. Aliya's first haircut (and only one so far) did not go as well as Ty's! How did you get him to sit so still!?! It looks great!

  11. Great pictures, he is adorable before and after of course, but I like the haircut...I would take Evie to my stylist, too, when I eventually get her haircut, some day.

  12. He is SOOO adorable ; love the new do! One thing to note, oddly enough you really could pass for his birth mother. By that I mean your skintones, hair color etc are close enough that it would pass. I think he was meant for you and your family and def seems bio in features. What do you think, have you heard this before? That Tys features resemble yours?

  14. My father has been barbering for over 40 years. My husband and brother are both barbers. Hairdressers and Barbers have different skill sets but both are trained and liscensed professionals. I'm glad you are comfortable with your stylist as your personal choice, but please don't refer to Barbers as butchers! Maybe you don't know any barbers or aren't familiar with their specialty but that is a hurtful insult. You have a large group of followers and Barbers have families to feed too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a good barber to any mother. In fact, the Barber would almost surely be the more thrifty choice in these especially hard economic times. Thanks!

  16. Very cute, does this officially make Ty a "big boy" now? I agree with another commenter, it is amazing how much Ty resembles you and Ben!
