Day 199

So...there are 15 days until Thanksgiving...and because I've been consumed with the one area in my life that is NOT going my way, I've decided to spend the next 15 days remembering all the things that are...

Today, I'm jumping out of my undies with excitement...okay not literally jumping, but close! I had a mandatory health benefits meeting, today, at work (boring) (even more boring because our benefits are through Ben's work) and I won a drawing for a FREE 6 month membership to Lifetime Fitness! How sweet is that???? I am super pumped up about it! Watching Ben race over the weekend inspired me to start training for an Iceman mini, called the "Slush Cup," same intensity as Ben's race, but only 8 miles, opposed to the 27! I think I might even try to find some races in the summer that I could do to get my feet wet. All that to say, winter is upon us and I was unsure about my training methods....until today!

I can't wait! My membership begins on December 1st...uh-oh, that doesn't leave much time to buy super-cute athletic outfits!

No belly, saggy boobs, stretch marks OR labor - and now the opportunity for a fit, toned physique? God is too good! He continues to keep my heart distracted with pieces of fun along the way.

  1. LifeTime Fitness is my gym and I LOVE IT! Now if only I could drag myself there more often :) Good luck with training for the bike race. I really want to do something similar with my husband, who is training for a triathlon, but I just HATE running. Plus he is so much faster than me. Here's to lean, buff bodies!

  2. No belly, saggy boobs or stretch marks are some of the best parts of adopting!!!!! I loved all the, "you look great" comments from strangers after we brought our daughter home. They just assumed I was one of those of women that I now hate. You know, the ones that leave the hospital in normal clothes instead of still wearing maternity clothes when the baby is almost a year old. Ugh!!!

    Congrats on the membership!!!! Jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I had to get the super cute work out outfits before the actual working out part. It was devastating when my shoes wore out and the color that best matched no longer came in a shoe:(

  4. I think I'm totally caught up on your blog now. :) I have fallen in love with your story. And woot for the Lifetime Fitness membership! We belong to the YMCA and don't use it nearly enough. Maybe I need to decide to take part in a race or competition... I might get my butt to the gym more often!

  7. Fun! Fun! Fun! I've loved my first week at the gym. I'm a little sore but it's been a great way to deal with the frustrations of TTC. And of course, I'm getting my body in shape. So yay, for you! Enjoy your new membership. God is great!!! :)

  12. Congrats on your winnings! What a great thing to win - especially this time of the year when it is so gray and gloomy outside. You are so motivating you almost made me want to run out and get a membership somewhere - I said ALMOST! :)
