No news.

In this instance no news is not good news.

Apparently, Little Boy's case worker quit. His new case worker and supervising case worker are gone for the week in training. Foster mom is out of town; adoption worker can't get a hold of any anyone to find out which respite care home Little Boy is in, so that we can meet him.

So. We wait.

I was angry, yesterday, but feel amazingly calm today. If there's one thing that adopting has taught me, it's patience. I have to trust God because this is all so far outside my control.

Please pray. Pray for our Little Boy. Pray for us. And pray for Little Boy's sisters. He has three in care.

We've inquired on all of them.

  3. I am reliving my days of foster adoption through your experiences. It is so incredibly frustrating because you just want them with you! He was your son from the moment you learned about him. There is nothing you want more than to be able to take care of him and give him his forever home. I hope and pray that his transition to you happens quickly. The red tape (as you well know) is maddening. I've walked this road and I am here if you need to vent/ask questions, etc. Hang in there!

  4. I am so frustrated for that child! But not only does he have a mom and dad to fight for him now, he has the ultimate Father who is working things out for his good! Praying, praying, praying!

  5. God is perfect. His timing is perfect. We has humans are so NOT perfect, and right now I'm just mad for the whole situation! I'm glad you are calm - someone needs to be! LOL :) I prayed for all of you often yesterday, and now I'm praying for his sisters too.

  6. El Roi - God Who Sees - has his eye on Little Boy, the Sisters, and you. Nothing is unknown to Him, and nothing is a surprise. May that bring you comfort as you wait.

    1. Heather, this was such an encouragement to me and I heard your words, "El Roi", this morning when I got ready for work.

      Thank you.

  7. I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I've seen it happen many times:(. It is TOTALLY unacceptable that the new worker does not even know where he is. Oh, how I wish I lived there so I could make some calls! I know I've said it before, but if he has a good therapist in his corner, get ahold of that person - often times, we are the ONLY ones who have ANY clue what has happened with this child from start to finish, sadly. And, on my goodness, 3 sisters? I am now imagining a magical ending where they all land safely with you....Thinking of you all....thank goodness Little Boy has his mom advocating for him now.

  9. This is so hard. I wonder why the Lord is asking you to wait? I always wonder this myself. What does he have up his sleeve? What miraculous perfection will come from this pain and annoyance? I say that because I feel the pain. I get annoyed. The whole system is messy, but if "His eye is on the sparrow," than we know his eye is on this too. I am praying for Little Boy's quick homecoming!
